Poor drainage can cause huge damage to the foundations and walls under your home Often where there is a room or garage underneath your home, visible signs of water penetration can be clearly seen coming through the brickwork. Sometimes the walls are quite damp .Often there are signs of rising damp or efflorescence appearing or even cracking to the walls or concrete floor. Sloping blocks often contribute to the problem by allowing water to penetrate deep into the subsoil and under your foundations.
Solution !!!
One of the most successful methods is to dig a deep trench across the slope and install suitable drainage to intercept the water and direct the flow directly into the storm water outlet. Where appropriate we install a concrete pit with a submersible pump to lift the water from the pit and discharge it directly into the storm water outlet. Below are some examples of damage caused from water seeping through the soil on a sloping block and under the house.
